Foster Artistic Minds is a 501(c)3 organization based out of Denver, CO founded on the principle that every child deserves the ability to be creative and artistic no matter the situation they are in. Founded in 2018 by Brandon Varwig, FAM was created to ensure that children in foster care have an outlet for their emotions by giving them the resources to do so. FAM is comprised of individuals with backgrounds in music and arts, psychology and human services. Children in foster care sometimes feel depression and anxiety which can be very harmful to their well being. By fostering creativity you are helping those children develop mentally, socially, emotionally and physically. By just using a paintbrush or playing the keys of a piano they are improving their fine motor skills. Being creative and artistic will help children with the ability to problem solve better and analyze their surroundings.

To be able to reach out to all foster kids throughout the nation to make sure they have the opportunity to be creative either through music, art or writing to make their time in foster care better. We will start locally and expand outward.
